Frequently Asked Questions

Panoramic Single Room FAQs

What does the Panoramic Single Room at El Conquistador Resort look out on?
This is an ocean-view room. El Conquistador Resort sits about 300 feet above sea level, overlooking the Caribbean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean and the neighboring islands, so the outlook is broad rather than hemmed in by buildings.
What is the bathroom like?
The bathroom has a deep soaking bathtub or a shower, plus free toiletries and a hair dryer. Towels and bed sheets are changed on request.
What is in the room to keep us comfortable and entertained?
The room has air conditioning, blackout drapes and hypo-allergenic bedding. The 42-inch LCD TV has premium channels, Netflix and Hulu, and there is also a DVD player and an iPod dock. You also get a refrigerator, a coffee/tea maker, a desk, free local calls and free Wi-Fi at 25+ Mbps. Champagne service is available.
What does the daily resort fee include for guests in this room?
A mandatory daily resort fee applies. It is roughly $70 a night, and the exact amount can vary. It covers pool access, the Coquí Water Park, the ferry to Palomino Island, beach towels, fitness center access, concierge service, in-room bottled water, in-room coffee, the in-room safe and phone calls.
Is this room suitable for families, couples or longer stays?
Yes. El Conquistador Resort is family-friendly, with a kids' club for ages 4–13 (extra fee), a children's pool, a playground and the Coquí Water Park. Couples can head to the separate adult pool, which guests reach by shuttle for a quieter swim. Because the room sleeps three on a king bed with no rollaway, larger parties may want a connecting room, which can be arranged.
How do we get around the resort and reach the beach?
The resort is built on a clifftop, and a funicular links the hotel to the marina and lower pool areas. A complimentary beach shuttle runs to the sand. The Coquí Water Park is about a 0.3-mile walk. Palomino Island, the resort's private island, is a short ferry or water-taxi ride away, and the ferry is covered by the resort fee.
Can I order room service, and where else can we eat?
Room service runs for breakfast from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM and for dinner from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Beyond the room there are more than 20 restaurants, bars and lounges. Options include BoNo for Spanish dining, Cutz Steakhouse, Sicilia and the casual La Ezkina by the pool. El Cafecito in the lobby is open 24 hours. Several dinner venues require reservations.
What should I know about arrival and getting to the resort?
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is before 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out each carry a fee, subject to availability. The front desk is staffed 24 hours. The resort is about an hour from San Juan's Luis Muñoz Marín airport, and airport transport can be arranged for an extra charge. The resort is entirely smoke-free, and pets are not allowed, although service animals are permitted.
